Undoubtedly, Shell is one of the great global nationals in the exploration and productivity segment in fossil fuels. In Brazil, it coldly faces the technological duel in the search, identification and location of oil sources (Upstream).

When the oil and gas market opened up to the private sector in Campos Basin, Shell was one of the pioneers in the production of these hydrocarbons. Today, it owns two floating units in full operation in the Campos Basin (FPSO Espírito Santo and FPSO Fluminense) and has recently won the bid to participate and explore in the Libra consortium.

It also transports, distributes and sells petroleum products (Downstream) with a strong focus on direct trade in lubricants, Marine Raízen, sugar, ethanol and electricity generation.
