[supsystic-social-sharing id='1′]As works in the port of UTE Sergipe will be the largest in its category in Latin America with a budget that exceeds 5 billion reais and is made entirely by private companies in the state, when the UTE is already operating, it will generate more than 1,700 jobs directly. At the moment, the works have just started, but there is still the possibility of more people being hired, according to the company's disclosure on social networks. But before knowing how to apply for a vacancy, learn a little more about the project, which are divided into 3 stages: Maritime Installations, Porto de Sergipe Thermoelectric Power Plant and Transmission Line.

  • Maritime Installationss – To capture natural gas, the project has maritime facilities such as the Floating Unit for the Storage and Regasification of natural gas (ship), anchoring system and the gas pipeline, responsible for transporting natural gas to the Porto de Sergipe (UTE).
  • Porto de Sergipe Thermoelectric Power Plant – The Porto de Sergipe Thermoelectric Power Plant is located in Barra dos Coqueiros and will be responsible for converting natural gas into electricity. Using state-of-the-art technology, construction of the plant is conducted by General Electric – GE and includes three HA gas turbines and a steam turbine, in addition to generating heat recovery. This is the first venture in Brazil to receive this HA turbine model, which was awarded the Guinness World Records, due to its high efficiency rate in converting fuel energy into electricity.
  • Transmission line – With a length of 33 km, the 500 kV Transmission Line will take the energy generated at the Porto de Sergipe Thermoelectric Power Plant to the Jardim Substation, located in the municipality of Nossa Senhora do Socorro (SE), in order to reach the consumption centers.
