With projections to exceed the collection of 2021, PPSA managed a total of RS 642 million during the first four months of 2022 alone with the sale of oil and gas produced in fields belonging to the Union

Pre-Salt Petróleo (PPSA) managed to raise R$ 642 million only in the sale of oil and gas produced in fields belonging to the Union during the first 4 months of 2022. The announcement made this Monday, (05/09), also showed that these results are equivalent to the first half of 2021 and the company expects to exceed the amount collected during the whole of last year in this sale.

Commercialization of oil and gas from Union fields guarantees PPSA a total of R$ 642 million only during the first 4 months of the year

The year of 2022 started with excellent results for the PPSA company in the sale of oil and gas, as the company raised a total of R$ 642 million in the first 4 months of the year. This value refers to fuels produced in the Union fields, referring to the production sharing contracts (CPPs) of the Mero and Entorno de Sapinhoá fields and the Tupi Shared Reservoir, in the Pre-Salt Polygon, the main producers of resources among those belonging to the Union.

This is an amazing value for the company and a great thermometer of the presence of oil and gas production in Brazil and in the world. This is because the R$ 642 million collected represents half of the collection in 2021, a record year in the PPSA's historical series, when R$ 1.22 billion was destined for the Union through the sale of oil and gas. Thus, the year 2022 has already managed to show a very high growth for PPSA, which projects great results over the next few months.

Thus, PPSA's final projection for the year 2022 for the sale of oil and gas produced in the Union's fields is around R$ 3.8 billion. In addition, 19 shipments of 500,000 barrels each are planned to be sold, and, among these, four have already been delivered, two from Tupi, one from Mero and one from Entorno de Sapinhoá. With this, the company intends to further enhance its presence in the oil and gas market and achieve a historic year in the commercialization of resources from the Union's fields.

Pre-Salt Petróleo intends to carry out new competitive processes at the end of the year for the commercialization of oil and gas barrels from the Union's fields

Despite the great advances in the production and commercialization of oil and gas in the fields of the Union seen during the beginning of 2022, PPSA intends to make that growth steady throughout this year. Thus, at the end of the year, the company will carry out new competitive processes for the sale of barrels of oil and gas belonging to the Union, as a way to further expand the collection around these resources and obtain the projected amount of R$ 3.8 billion for this year.

Therefore, the first competitive process that is being planned for the end of 2022 is to sell two loads of 500 thousand barrels each of Sépia and Atapu. The second one, which will be carried out later this year, has the main objective of marketing a production of around 200,000 cubic meters (m³) per day in 2023, in the União plot in the Entorno de Sapinhoá and Búzios fields and in the Tupi Shared Reservoir.

Taking into account the date of April 2018, Pre-Salt Petróleo has already raised R$ 4.5 billion for the Union and, throughout 2022, PPSA intends to make these numbers even more expressive in the international oil and gas market. .
