Aker Solutions has just boosted Macaé's morale in such a way that no one would have imagined this big surprise. Representatives of the company in a meeting with the mayor of the city, Dr. Aluízio, on Thursday(17), went to set the terms for the installation of a construction and assembly factory. This is because Macaé is strategically located in the logistical and economic eye of Norwegian activities in the Campos Basin, since the city already has all the infrastructure of the offshore sector ready.

In the eyes and judgment of the mayor, this new venture by Aker will generate about a thousand jobs, in addition to leaving taxes in the city that could reach more than 24 million. According to Aker Solutions, the demanding projects in full expansion until the year 2021, which include offshore units of Petrobras, Chevron and Statoil. These 3 companies will require services in the Campos and Santos Basin.
